Option 2

Steps for Installation Option 2

You only need the bottom portion of the RM500 when connecting the plumbing. Remove the top roller part first! This will give you plenty of room to connect it to the sump or tank drain.

  1. Remove one of the 1" bulkheads from the sump.

  2. Use the included Tube from the RM500 and push it thru the bulkhead opening where you removed the the bulkhead.

  3. Connect the RM500 to the screw fitting on the black tube.

  4. Put the RM into the sump.

  5. Trim the black Tube to desired length above the hole in the sump.

  6. Attach the RS union (Included with the RM500) to the black tube. The union will be outside of the sump, basically where the 1" bulkhead originally was.

  7. Connect 1" PVC to the union.

  8. Reassemble the top portion of the reefmat to the bottom of the reef mat and load your roll.
